Weather: Bright sunshine and quite warm with a period of dark cloud and occasional wind. Cooling down and increasing wind a lot as darkness fell
Sea: Clear with a small swell and waves up to four foot. A slight tow.

The Session: It was very busy when I arrived and I had the prospect of walking for a fair distance. I had brought my shelter to try out so I would rather not have had to walk far. Luckily as I walked onto teh shingle another anglers was leaving, who had been fishing fairly near the car park entrance so I set up in his vacated spot. I was hopeful of a ray and smoothound but as the session progressed it was clear that only spider crabs were around. I reeled two of them in as they had become tangled around my line. I also lost 3 hooks from them snipping through my line. I only managed one dogfish which was the only bite of the session. I left a little dissapointed but still intending to return again soon, perhaps when the prospect of getting some mackerel for bait is greater.
