The Session: Another session to just see what pollock were around. I had someone with me who I am helping to learn to fish. The first bites took a while to come and they both went to my friend who was fishing around 5-6ft. No more bites came for a while, and another angler pointed out that there appeared to be some porpoise around and during one moment they surfaced right in front of us within casting range, which was a nice sight to see. Around 20 minutes later the bites came again, well to me anyway after I reduced my depth from 10ft to 6ft and then caught 3 and one other one fell off. We brought the prawn traps in three times during the time we were there but only found the rockling in them. No sign of any prawns or crabs. Another fun short session, my friend was glad to catch (but wanted something bigger).
