Sea: Fairly flat, clear and a little choppy
Method: Float | feathering
Bait: Frozen mackerel strips | 5 hook purple hokkai | frozen mackerel head, frozen squid pieces, frozen lugworm, frozen peeler crab
Caught (weight): 2 Pollack (0lbs 6oz, Guessed), 1 Pollack (0lbs 9oz, Guessed)
The Session: I began with the mackerel feathers but didn't have much hope of catching as another angler informed me he had been trying for a while but had nothing. I also threw out the prawn trap filled with various bait. It wasn't long before I switched to the float rod and set the depth to about 8ft and cast it about 20 yards out. It was slow going on teh float rod too but I was confident at least one fish would show up. It had just got dark when I began to get bites and I could barely see the float. I ended up with 3 pollock with the thrord fish taken as I changed depth to about 15ft and dropped it in very close to the rocks, risking getting snagged. It was a quiet session but at least the pollock proved their reliability in this area.
