The Session: Deciding to give this mark another go after a previous visit at low tide was cut short by high winds, remembering as best I could the locations of the weed beds I set up just behind the left arm of the jetty in front of a small group of trees aiming to cast towards the last two pillars. After setting up one rod with peeler crab as bait I set up another with the lug worm and had the fish within 5 minutes. Unfortunately the excitement of catching my first ever bass meant as the tide receded I wasn't concentrating on where I was moving forward to and ended up with most casts getting caught in weed to the left of the jetty and I eventually lost two weights. I saw fish surface close to the jetty a few times throughout the session which was complemented by the sight and sound of flocks of Canada Geese passing overhead. After packing up I stayed a while to experience them approaching in the dark, trying to figure out the direction each small flock was approaching from, I accidentally stood on a crab.
