Time fished to: 01:30

Weather: Windy and overcast, but not too cold. The forecast rain never occurred.

Sea: Choppy but a small swell, the water was fairly clear.

Method: Pulley rig with rotten bottom / prawn trap

Bait: Frozen mackerel segments, frozen squid segments / frozen mackerel head, frozen peeler crab.

Caught (weight): 1 Dogfish (1lbs 0oz, Guessed), 2 Dogfish (2lbs 0oz, Guessed) | 6 3 bearded rockling (0lbs 4oz, Guessed), 1 Prawn (0lbs 0oz, Guessed), 1 Edible Crab (0lbs 0oz, Guessed)

The Session: I set up a single rod for this session and baited it with a segment of frozen mackerel. The first bite took a while to come but I then had several but missed them or the fish fell of on the retrieve. Eventually I hooked one and landed it. I had also thrown out a prawn trap and the first successful retrieve contained 5 rockling and a 4 inch crab. I changed to squid bait, using the last of the old squid I had refrozen numerous times. The next two fish did not come until a while later but when they did each one took the bait before I had time to sit down properly after casting. As the bites slowed a bit I retrieved the prawn net one last time and in it was a rockling and a single prawn.
