Caught (weight): 2 Pollack (0lbs 4oz, Guessed), 2 Pollack (0lbs 8oz, Guessed), 2 Pollack (0lbs 12oz, Guessed), 1 Pollack (1lbs 0oz, Guessed), 1 Ballan Wrasse (1lbs 11oz, Weighed)

The Session: I had decided to catch some pollock and then have a go for wrasse as the tide was near fully in. Bites came steadily on the mackerel strips from far and near casts and depths of 10ft increasing to 18 ft or more as the tide rose. I missed as many as I landed and I changed to a crab bait and dropped the float just a few feet from the edge of the rocks. I had a few bites but didn't hook or feel anything until I manged one by leaving just the soft crab shell and a bit of meat on the hook. It was the largest pollock of the session. A little later a coupld more missed bites and my last half of peeler crab the float went steadily under and I managed to hook a nice wrasse which weighed at 1lb 11oz, which was a surprise as I had guessed it at 1lb, but didn't account for them being wider than pollock. I was more than happy with my catch and aside from trying further up the rocks for a bit as the tide crept in more I decided to pack up and maybe try again tomorrow.
